Collection of Silver Crysanthemums

Over the next 3 blogs, I will show you my Collection of Silver Chrysanthemums. This is a collection of 15 paintings, which together depict over 60 types of chrysanthemum, in various shapes and colours. These paintings show the glory of chrysanthemums in different seasons, and some are depicted under the moonlight. In some of these paintings, they are also paired with insects like crickets, praying mantis and beetles.

On the back of each painting, I have recorded an ancient poem written by such famous poets, emperors and politicians as Bai Juyi, Lu You, Tao Yuanming, Chairman Mao and Tang Taizong.
